Brute Advantage
The Brute is a leak proof live floor system, designed for use in material handling trailers where
leaking loads are unacceptable, and unlawful. This system is also designed to accommodate the
most severe loads, such as general and demolition waste, as well as the usual commodities used
in the live floor industry. Bulk wood and agricultural products, medical waste, etc, are some
examples.
The Brute (known also as the 8000) also has a proven success record in the waste industry,
noted for being reliable, tough, and long lasting. It is also customer friendly with its simple, straight
forward design, that anyone can understand.
Trailers can accommodate the Brute leak proof system with a few moderate modifications. With
only the addition of two support arms that extend out the trailer front 16" and attach to the king pin
plate support area, and a front opening that is 28" wide and 7" tall, the rest of the trailer can
remain as originally manufactured.
Top Front Mounting Advantages:
- Keeps hydraulic power unit up and away from road salts and grime
- Shifts hydraulic unit weight to the tractor allowing more payload weight
- No parts or hoses under the trailer
- Lower installation times, to improve profitability
- Easy access for repair, and quick remove and replacement of unit for service
Brute Hydraulic Power Unit Features:
- Powerful, compact, and uncomplicated 3 cylinder unit
- 2" Solid steel chromed shafts
- 4 1/2" Diameter Cylinders
- Pistons and Head manifold each have replaceable wear rings
- Poppit valves can be serviced externally, even with power unit in place
- 2300 psi relief valve included as std equipment
- Wet kit requirements are the same as most live floors use
Cross Drive Features:
- 3/4" x 8" T1 Steel plates have exceptional toughness and a yield strength nearly 3 times of
A36 structural steel commonly used
- Shaft attaching clamps have 7 1/2" full clamping contact, with 7 bolt tightening action, for a
Non slipping, rigid mounting to cross drives
- 6 Bolts (1/2" NF) with steel anchors, attach each live deck slat to the cross drives
Brute Deck Advantages:
- Brute stationary decking forms water tight pan under the moving deck
- 3 full length bearing surfaces support each live deck slat
- Full length rubber seal (rope) between stationary deck forms water tight seal, so no welding
- Is required, allowing for quick installation of sub deck
- Brute live deck slats are especially rugged, with a 1/4" mid section, combined with 2 full
length built in 5/16" thick by 1 1/4" wear strips
- This deck system is fork lift compatible, and is qualified to work with all commodities used in
the live floor industry
